George Neaimeh
Carob Molasses "Debes Kharoub"
Qsaybeh
Carob molasses production was a family tradition for George, a local producer based in Qsaybeh municipality in the Metn region in Lebanon. The tradition was carried on after George's mother learned the trade from her father, and eventually taught it to her husband and George. He is one of the few producers of this type of molasses in the area, and works on supplying it all year long. Only one type of carob molasses can be produced in the area, but George shared some insider intel and mentioned that each producer adds their own personal touch to make their molasses especially unique.
